Probability of Winning

GAMBLE WITH MODERATION

Dreaming of a big win is a fun pastime which does not entail any great risk, as long as the player remains fully aware of the actual probability of winning. Indeed, in certain cases gaming can degenerate into compulsive behaviours until it becomes a full-blown psychological condition, and for this reason it is important not to overdo things when playing.

We, like everybody, understand the potential hazards involved with gambling, and it is not in anyone’s interest for a player to get into these kind of problems. As a state-licensed operator it is therefore our duty, as well as being ethically correct, to provide you with all possible information on how to prevent gambling addiction and to promote a culture of responsible gaming.

The games which HBG Gaming runs as a licensed operator are prohibited to those under 18 years of age, offer cash prizes and can lead to addiction. Gamble with moderation.

Below you can find more detailed information on our products and view some simple tips to follow in order to maintain responsible behaviour when playing.

BINGO

The probability of winning is linked to the number of cards sold for each game. The prize fund is equal to at least 70% of the total of the cards sold for each game.

AWP (NEWSLOT)

For AWP machines (devices pursuant to article 110, para 6, a) of the Consolidated Law on public security, approved by Royal Decree no. 773 of 18 June 1931), the law requires the total payout to be no less than 74% of the total wagered. The payout calculation is made over a number of plays which varies from model to model, and must be calculated over a maximum of 140,000 plays. As these are minimal percentages, verified by the certification bodies on an example model, it is not possible to provide the precise probability of winning for each individual device, which must however be no less than that specified by legislation. The relative probability of winning is different for each individual play and varies within the same depending on the choices made by the player. All device models can be viewed on the Agenzia delle dogane e dei Monopoli (customs and monopoly agency) website by accessing the following menu path: giochi – apparecchi da intrattenimento – newslot – assistenza operatori – Elenco degli esemplari di modello di cui all’art. 110, comma 6, lettera a) del T.U.L.P.S., dotati di certificato di esito positivo della verifica tecnica di conformità. Next to each of these, among other information, the cycle of plays which the minimum payback percentage refers to is indicated.

VIDEOLOTTERY (VLT)

For videoterminals connected to a VLT gaming system (devices pursuant to article 110, para 6, b) of the Consolidated Law on public security, approved by Royal Decree no. 773 of 18 June 1931) , the law provides for a minimum payout of 85% for each gaming system and each game installed on the same. When checking the conformity of each gaming system and of each individual game, Sogei S.p.A checks the theoretical payout percentage (return to player, RTP). The table on the Customs and Monopoly Agency site GiochiVLTCertificati – pdf (51.69 KB) lists, for each licensed operator, the gaming systems they operate and all games certified for each system. Next to each game, the ID code, name and theoretical payout percentage (RTP) are listed. The minimum payout percentage as a proportion of the total amount wagered is monitored every six months, or every five million plays. The relative probability of winning is different for each individual play and varies within the same depending on the choices made by the player.
